About this blog

“All progress stops in the contented man. I’m for agitation. It’s the greatest factor for progress.” – Mother Jones

I am a socialist activist in my late 20s living in Minneapolis, MN. This blog is my effort to agitate against the many injustices facing our world today, the product of the heartless system of global capitalism. It will feature my writings and analysis on any number of topics – from U.S. imperialism to Russian literature to tackling the two-party system to concerts I have recently attended. My main goals are to promote critical thinking about how to rebuild the left and the socialist movement today and to be a source of links to good articles and other readings that will help promote informed analysis.

At the same time, I will also use the blog to share the things I am passionate about in life with as many people as possible. Because I fully agree with the words of the Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky: “Life is beautiful. Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression, and violence, and enjoy it to the full.”
